SF: Silicon Valley versus Open source embroidery

Yesterday I recived via twitter and interesting convocatory http://www.techwomen.org/ that will pair women in Silicon Valley with their counterparts in the Middle East and North Africa for a professional mentorship and exchange program at leading technology companies beginning in the summer of 2011. Using innovative technologies, cutting-edge content, and social networking tools, TechWomen will foster and develop the next generation of women leaders in the technology field by providing women and girls with the access and opportunity needed to pursue tech-based careers.

Now are available the convocatory to participate like "technical mentors" or "cultural mentors" only for technical women who works in silicon valley area. But they are open to volunteers so... I will send my convocatory and if god wants, maybe, the next summer I will go to San Francisco!!!! :)

For me would be and incredible experience in diferent ways:

1 - The oportunity to know all the interesting women from Egypt, Algeria, Jordan, Lebanon, Morocco and Gaza. And of course to see the interaction of them with silicon valley women.
2 - To return to San Francisco, a beautiful and creative city.
3 -  To explorate the open source embroidery work in this area and the arts & crafts shops, there are a lot in the city!!

Please send to me your good vibrations!!
